About Talisman - The Realm of Souls Expansion
The Realm of Souls expansion introduces a groundbreaking digital-exclusive mechanic to Talisman: Digital Edition. When a character dies, they become a ghost instead of being eliminated. Ghosts leave a Grave marker and can continue playing using special Veil cards from the land of the dead. This adds a strategic layer where death is no longer the end, and players can return to the living world through psychic combat.
Three new characters join the fray: the Archon, who punishes spellcasters with overload tokens; the Spectre Collector, who can interact with spirits and Veil cards from the living world; and the Clairvoyant, who manipulates fate by re-rolling dice and replacing Adventure Cards. Each character offers unique playstyles that leverage the new ghost mechanics.
The expansion includes 70 Veil cards, 6 Adventure cards, 3 Spell cards, 3 Terrain cards, and 2 Alternative Endings. Veil cards are only encountered by ghosts or characters with special abilities, adding depth and variety to every game. The Alternative Endings provide new victory conditions, keeping gameplay fresh.
