About Steel Division 2 - Burning Baltics DLC
Steel Division 2: Burning Baltics is the latest History Expansion for the acclaimed World War II real-time strategy game. Set on the Eastern Front in late summer 1944, it focuses on Operation Doppelkopf, a German counter-offensive aimed at reestablishing contact with Army Group North in the Baltics. Players can command either the attacking German 3. Panzerarmee or the defending Soviet 1st Baltic Front in a massive new Army General campaign.
This DLC adds 8 meticulously researched divisions, including elite units like Grossdeutschland and Nordland for the Axis, and the 19th Tank Corps for the Soviets. Each division offers unique units and tactics, allowing players to create custom battlegroups for solo, co-op, or multiplayer battles. The expansion also introduces over 120 new units, from recon tanks and floatplanes to super-heavy mortars and heavy anti-tank guns.
Two new aces join the fight: Hans-Ulrich Rüdel, the legendary Stuka pilot, in his Ju-87G Panzerknacker, and Soviet general Gueorgui Nefiodovitch Zakharov with his Yak-3 fighter. Additionally, two new nations are fully voiced: Axis Lithuania and Allied Estonia, with Latvian troops also featured as part of the German forces. These additions deepen the historical authenticity and tactical variety.
The Army General campaign offers a strategic layer where you manage resources, move units on a dynamic map, and engage in turn-based planning before real-time battles.
