About Black & White

Black & White is a unique blend of visual novel and turn-based war chess, developed by ZeroCreation. Set in a dystopian world, the game presents a symmetrical black-and-white aesthetic that mirrors its moral conflicts. With over 250,000 words of narrative, players observe the memories of twelve main characters and communicate with a mysterious girl, uncovering a story where justice is not simply black or white.

The game offers two opposing factions: the White Church, symbolizing order, fairness, and reason, and the Black Cinder Crow, representing freedom, culture, and emotion. Players can align with white-haired priests possessed by insects or historical figures returned from the dead. The choice between these camps drives the narrative, challenging players to decide which form of justice they believe in.

Featuring nearly 100 characters and over 400 CG or story maps, Black & White boasts an extremely unique art style. Every UI element and character design conveys a contradictory intention. The game includes branch plots for each of the twelve main characters, presented in a comic-like story map format. Animations have been optimized from previous works, bringing static art to life for a more immersive experience.

The soundtrack is composed by Lin Fangzhou, Harper, Xu Luyang, and others, with sound effects crafted by dedicated sound engineers. The dubbing is directed by Mori Zhongren, featuring voice actors from Hanser, Tao Dian, and Yuesheng Dubbing Club. This high-quality audio enhances the atmospheric storytelling.

Gameplay combines narrative exploration with over 30 turn-based war chess levels. In the first half, players unlock character stories and complete guided story levels. After collecting all 12 characters, players can freely form teams to tackle 28 challenge levels, unlocking additional plots and achievements. A weak cultivation system allows characters to gain new skills through achievements or plot progression, enabling diverse tactical combinations.
