Death end re;Quest Code Z continues the story of parallel universes from the previous game. Iris, born in World DE-1, created a perfect copy world called World DE-1.5. However, a mysterious man and his doppelganger heroes threaten the peace. New protagonist Sayaka Hiwatari must confront the chaos where friends and foes are indistinguishable.

The game features a unique Strain Area system—randomly generated dungeons filled with monsters, traps, and loot. Each move matters as enemies act simultaneously. Exploration is key to finding useful items and progressing deeper into the dungeon. The turn-based combat requires strategic thinking to survive.

Death Ends are a core mechanic, with dozens of brutal ways your party can meet a gruesome end. These include Double Death Ends with artwork by Kei Nanameda and story by Makoto Kedouin. Each death adds tension and replayability, encouraging careful planning.

At the bottom of each dungeon lies a powerful boss. Defeating it allows you to rescue a friend and escape the Strain Area. Between dungeon runs, you can return home to rest, shop for items, enhance weapons at the Night Owl Café, or interact with friends around town.

The game blends visual novel storytelling with tactical RPG gameplay. Choices and exploration affect the narrative, leading to multiple endings. The dark, psychological themes are complemented by a haunting soundtrack and detailed character art.

This PS5 version offers enhanced performance and graphics. The North American CD Key activates on the PlayStation Store for US accounts. Note that this is the base game only; no DLC is included.
