Slime Rancher follows Beatrix LeBeau, a young rancher who travels a thousand light years from Earth to the Far, Far Range. Armed with a trusty vacpack and a can-do attitude, she sets out to wrangle slimes, build a ranch, and make a fortune. This first-person sandbox experience combines exploration, farming, and slime management in a vibrant, colorful world.

Your vacpack is your most important tool. It can vacuum up anything not nailed down and blast it back out. Use it to collect slimes, food, and resources, or to clear obstacles. Mastery of the vacpack is key to surviving the challenges of the range, from feeding hungry slimes to defending against feral ones.

Each day on the ranch brings new tasks. Start by watering crops for vegetarian slimes, then gather hens for the carnivores. Feed your slimes to keep them happy and contained—hungry slimes get jumpy and can escape their corrals. A well-fed ranch is a profitable one.

Once your ranch is set, explore the untamed wilds. Discover new slime species, find exotic vegetables to cultivate, and avoid danger in valleys full of feral slimes. The Far, Far Range is full of surprises, from explosive slimes to radioactive ones. Every expedition brings new opportunities and risks.
