About AI War 2

AI War 2 is a grand strategy and real-time strategy hybrid set in a galaxy conquered by an overwhelming, inhuman enemy. The AI has made only one mistake: underestimating you. As the leader of a small rebellion, you must steal technology, fortify bases, and launch carefully planned attacks. But every conquest draws the AI's attention, so choose your targets wisely.

The game features a living galaxy with many optional factions, each pursuing their own goals and strategies. Polished gameplay mechanics build on everything learned from the first game and its six expansions. The redesigned UI is constantly being refined for better player experience.

Immerse yourself in over 1,700 lines of spoken dialogue from more than 25 actors, with more to come from the AI itself. The soundtrack includes 1.5 hours of new music added to the original game's 4.5-hour score. A wide variety of map types and sub-options ensure each playthrough feels unique.

AI War 2 offers crazy moddability with many levers available in easily accessible XML. Multithreading provides modern performance, and the codebase is designed to be stable. Note that multiplayer is temporarily disabled but still being implemented.

This is the sequel to Arcen's acclaimed AI War, which PC Gamer called 'one of this year's finest strategy games' back in 2009. AI War 2 builds on that legacy with deeper strategy, more factions, and a richer narrative.
