About Imagine Earth

Imagine Earth is a futuristic world simulation game where you take on the role of a colony manager. Your mission is to explore and populate undiscovered planets, building great cities to support a growing population. You'll construct power plants, farms, and factories while ensuring a steady supply of four basic resource classes. The challenge lies in managing entire planetary ecosystems with their natural limitations in fossil resources and environmental resilience.

Research renewable energy sources and develop sustainable production lines to prevent overgrowth and climate collapse. The health and happiness of your colonists directly impact growth and bonus income. Keep an eye on local pollution and avoid placing buildings with negative influence near residential areas. Expanding colonies earn additional landing permissions and research budgets, allowing you to upgrade technologies or develop new ones.

With over 30 constructs and 60 upgrades offering different advantages and side effects, you can build a unique colony. But beware: rapid civilization growth can push a planet's ecosystem to its limits. Wildfires, dying forests, growing deserts, and twisters become more frequent and require immediate action. Facility incidents may lead to chemical leaks, oil spills, or radioactive contamination, harming your people and food production. Maintain buildings and fight catastrophes promptly.

Balance your civilization's greenhouse gas emissions with the planet's capabilities and your technology. Otherwise, global warming melts polar caps, and rising sea levels flood your cities. The story challenges your skills and morals as you navigate between corporate profit goals and the need to preserve living conditions for your people. Meet corrupt chiefs and shareholders while your company faces hostile takeovers.

Each of the 5 missions takes place on a planet one order of magnitude larger than the previous, with unique elements like cultural heritage sites or incoming asteroids. The story offers 10 to 20 hours of gameplay. Additional modes include Free Game for relaxed colony building and Time Trial to maximize expansion skills. Compete against up to 7 AI factions, engage in diplomacy and trade, and defend against space pirates and alien invaders.
