About Quantum Runners

Quantum Runners is a futuristic, fast-paced interplanetary racing and shooting game that combines full 3D space racing with shooter elements. Unlike many racers, this game offers true 3D movement, allowing players to leave the track and explore the environment. With 12 unique racing ships, each customizable in 3D, you can tailor your vessel to your playstyle. The AI opponents are equipped with plasma cannons and will actively shoot, ram, and disrupt your race, making every lap a challenge.

The game features a comprehensive Heads Up Display (HUD) that can be toggled on or off during races. It includes radar, attitude indicator, velocity, fuel, ammo, and shield status. Lap split times are updated every quarter lap and can be displayed continuously. Five difficulty levels control aspects like asteroid impact damage, max velocity, fuel consumption, shields, and munitions, ensuring the game is accessible to both casual and hardcore players.

Quantum Runners boasts an extensive UI system with 3D ship selection previews. The audio menu includes 8 different mixers and 8 engine audio loops with variable pitch tied to velocity. You can customize the racing environment and flight characteristics to your liking. The game remembers your settings across sessions, but you can always reset to factory defaults. An in-game and online help menu is also available.

The game supports full controller and mouse/keyboard input, with all major controller brands pre-programmed and fully remappable. Unknown controllers are also recognized and can be remapped. You have full control over windowing, graphics quality, resolution, and screen aspect ratios. Quantum Runners is in active development, with the first level featuring 5 rings that can be raced in numerous configurations.

Please note that the game is unrated but contains brief blood and gore imagery during pilot ejection sequences, suggesting a T (13+) rating. The soundtrack is available separately.
