Escape The Pacific is a survival game set in the early 1800s, where you play as a lone adventurer stranded in a vast, procedural Pacific Ocean. The world is generated from a random seed, offering endless replayability. In Story Mode, you explore a 5500x5500 km map with island clusters, searching for clues to return to civilization. The game features a latitude-driven weather system using real Pacific data, with 27 modifiers like hot, cold, wet, dry, windy, and calm, each creating unique gameplay challenges.

Building and sailing are at the core of Escape The Pacific. You can design and customize modular rafts, adding sails, rudders, and shelters. Sailing is realistic: wind direction, sail hoist, and orientation all affect movement. In storms, you must lower sails to avoid damage. Navigation relies on a compass for local travel and triangulation with a sextant for long-distance journeys. Cartography lets you map islands, and celestial bodies like the sun and moon move based on latitude and season.

Survival requires managing food, water, and fire. The dynamic fire system reacts to wind, rain, and moisture: wet resources burn poorly, and rain can extinguish unprotected fires. You must build shelters to keep fires alive. The temperature system considers sun, shadow, wind, and rain, affecting your character's comfort and drying speed. A complex player statistics system lets you level up attributes like tiredness, hunger, and sailing skill by spending points.

Escape The Pacific offers multiple difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard/Realistic) and adjustable time flow (30 min to 4 hours per in-game day). The game includes a blueprint-based crafting system: place a blueprint, insert resources, and finalize with a tool. You can build on rafts or islands, creating houseboats or permanent bases.
