About Lord Of Anatolia

Lord Of Anatolia is a colony simulation and dynasty builder set in 14th-century Anatolia. You start as the Bey of a small Kayı tribe with a handful of tents and scarce resources. Winter is at the door, wolf packs roam, and Byzantine forces threaten. Your goal: feed your people, marry them off, raise warriors, and lead them from a humble Oba (camp) to a great Sancak (province). Every decision matters as you build a lasting legacy.

The game features a deep villager personality system with 12 traits—Diligent, Lazy, Cowardly, Faithful, Generous, Stingy, Perfectionist, Charismatic, Antisocial, Hasty, Arrogant, Humble. Each trait affects work speed, combat behavior, and marriage chances with concrete percentages. Villagers have life cycles from baby to elder, and their family trees are tracked across generations. When the Bey dies, succession rules determine the next leader.

An innovative inner-voice system brings villagers to life. Focus on any villager and a thought bubble appears—a hungry villager says 'My belly aches—last bite I had was yesterday'; a sick miner says 'This sickness came from the mine—stone dust in my lungs.' These personal stories add emotional depth to every decision you make.

The world of Anatolia is dynamic and unforgiving. Four seasons, three year types (Bountiful, Normal, Drought), and dynamic weather (rain, snow, storms) affect gameplay. Villagers shelter during storms; those without warm clothes freeze in winter. Diseases like plague, dysentery, and malaria spread, and healers use Anatolian herbs to treat them. Hygiene is critical to survival.

Combat involves three enemy types: wolf raids, Byzantine forces, and Mongol raiders, each demanding different tactics. Train Alp warriors at the armory, equip them with swords and shields (shields block 70% of damage), and defend your growing settlement. Progress through five village stages—Camp, Village, Town, Beylik, Sancak—each unlocking new buildings and research projects.

With 25+ building types (mosque, trade house, cookhouse, smithy, weaver, pen, well, healer's tent, archer tower) and 50+ research projects, there's always something to build or discover. Building upgrades from 1 to 5 stars boost speed and yield. The Hijri calendar adds cultural depth—Ramadan and Friday prayer affect morale. For fans of Banished, RimWorld, Crusader Kings, and Manor Lords, this game offers a unique blend of deep colony mechanics and Turkish-Islamic history.
