About City of Brass

City of Brass is a first-person action rogue-lite inspired by Arabian Nights. You play as a daring thief armed with a scimitar and a versatile whip. The whip can grab, trip, disarm, stun, or shatter enemies, and also allows you to swing across gaps. Your goal is to fight through procedurally generated levels, collect treasures, and reach the exit before the Sands of Time run out.

The city is filled with deadly traps: pits, blades, spears, arrows, and poison gas. You must use these hazards to your advantage, luring enemies into them or manipulating the environment. The gameplay emphasizes fluid movement—sprinting, crouching, sliding, leaping, and vaulting—combined with rhythmic sword and whip combat.

Imprisoned within the city are genies. Most are friendly and will trade powerful benefits for loot or grant wishes for a temporary advantage. These encounters add a layer of strategy, as you decide whether to spend resources on upgrades or save for later.
