As Detective Cole Phelps, you'll investigate seven meticulously rebuilt cases from the original game, now fully optimized for virtual reality. Every clue, interrogation, and shootout feels more intense as you physically interact with the environment.
The game leverages VR to enhance the core detective work. Search crime scenes by grabbing, inspecting, and manipulating objects with your own hands. Use your detective's notebook to make notes or sketch freehand. Interrogate witnesses and suspects, reading their facial expressions and body language to separate truth from lies in a city where everyone has something to hide.
Beyond investigation, you'll engage in high-stakes action sequences. Get behind the wheel and drive to crime scenes, engage in thrilling chases, and participate in fistfights and shootouts as you track down suspects. The VR perspective puts you directly in the middle of the action, making every moment more visceral.
Please note that due to current performance issues with AMD hardware, only specific combinations are supported. If using an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or above is required. If using an AMD Vega 56 GPU, an Intel i7 6700 or above CPU is required. AMD CPU and GPU together are not supported. Only single GPU configurations work; SLI and CrossFire are not supported.
Installation requires a Rockstar Games Social Club account (age 13+) and internet connection for activation and periodic entitlement verification. The game includes software installations for Social Club, DirectX, Chromium, and Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables.
